Code for South Africa’s Data Journalism Academy represents an initiative of Code for South Africa’s data literacy programme for the study of data and digital journalism with the aim of creating lasting systemic change in the way that South African media use data to tell stories and engage with audiences, so that readers can be better informed.

Our Short Courses provide Data-Driven Journalism training for newsrooms, full-time and freelance journalists, activists, people working with non-profits and NGOs , as well as private and public sector employees who want to learn how to tell great stories using data.
